Course Overview

The GLEE course is an 8 month (Sept.-April) course. Tasks are assigned each month to complete via Google Classroom. Participants check-in with AIG Coordinator or site-based specialist at the end of each month. Two face-to-face meetings are required, the first meeting is to “kick off” the course, and the second meeting is to conclude the course and turn in final products. Educators will be required to complete the course tasks in a notebook that will be turned in. Upon completion, educators will receive a certificate, are added to a list on the AIG Webpage of CCS Endorsed Educators, and receive 3.0 CEU’s. 

Participants need either a composition notebook or a 1/2inch 3- ring binder to turn in at the end of the course. The following textbooks are recommended, but not required:

                Survival Guide for Gifted Kids by J. Galbraith (elementary)

                Gifted Teen Survival Guide by J. Galbraith and J. Delisle (secondary)

                A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Children by J. Webb

                Teaching Gifted Kids in Today’s Classroom by S. Winebrenner

                Mindsets in the Classroom by M.C.Ricci (secondary)
